So the wi-fi went down right on cue and so I'm starting this on Word until they sort it out and I can get back online.
I arrived at 8.30 this morning – early for my 9am appointment. The room wasn't ready and so I waited in a side room with a cool cloud screen on the ceiling -
- until lunchtime. That was usual hospital waiting-around stuff so I wasn't too bothered, plus the staff are very friendly.
A couple of students came and chatted to me while I waited, then the nurses took...
Tomorrow is R-Day and still no side-effects from the thyrogen that I've noticed, so apart from feeling angry with an eBay seller from yesterday I'm feeling not-too-bad.
I'm gathering the last few things together to pack and it seems rather a lot, although most of it is meds and washing stuff and not all of it will be coming back.
I'll do a final unpack and repack this evening but today is chill day and cuddle BF day.

Now bearing in mind 3 years earlier samples of my lung were sent off to a pathologist in Dublin because they were confusing and that turned out to be lung cancer, set alarm bells ringing but still pushed it to the back of my mind. I found out Christmas Eve it was definitely a cancer measuring 4cm. Not the best Christmas present I have received :) They finished the job they started in January and as I said before am now awaiting RAI.

It was 5 weeks yesterday since I had surgery to complete a total thyroidectomy but almost 8 months since it all began. After having a few falls my GP thought it was best to send me for a MRI scan just to make sure I hadn't had a small stroke ( I had a stroke 16yrs ago ). Anyway to cut a long story short, it has been proved I actually do have a brain but it also picked up a small cyst on my thyroid, that was June 2013.
I was reassured that it was a cyst but they thought it was wise to send...
I feel happier today but apprehensive. The district nurse is coming to give me the first of two thyrogen injections this morning. I don't know exactly what time but between 10am and midday. BF is still asleep. I'm not sure if I told him that I want him to be there when she/he comes but I'll take him a brew at 10 and hope that helps wake him up enough. He's not exactly a morning person.
It's an intramuscular injection, like my insulin, but it has to be delivered in a specific way in...
