I have been growing for a few months now in her left breast. Its nice and warm in here and I feel all cosy and warm.
I decided to grow here as she has big boobies and I like the big squashy ones. Its much easier to hide in these than those skinny pert tiny ones but I do have some friends who prefer those.Each to their own I suppose!
Today we are going for a routine screening...
It seems so sudden all at once. I think the shock has just hit me. I was thinking I'd have to have chemotherapy first. But no, straight to the operation. My pre-op is in five days. I suppose my op will be within a week of that. Serves me right for listening to other people, no matter how qualified, oncologist, radiologist, etc. who are not my doctors, particularly when my own research doesn't match with what they tell me. I have left that forum now. I have a much shorter time than I thought to get...
I finished my 6 month treatment of ABVD November 2016! I can't believe it's nearly a year on! I'm so grateful and happy to have gotten through it with so much support from friends and family. It's still hard and any lump/bump/symptom and I go straight back to panic mode! Even more when I'm leading up to a 3 monthly check up which is next week! Had my first chest infection since end of treatment so that has heightened anxiety. Fingers crossed for good results x
Saw my consultants today. No chemo straight for the op. My pre-op is on Monday, 28th, just under a week. I'm nervous but my surgeon just happens to be a leader in this field so I'm glad to have him. I'm having the cystectomy with stoma and bag.
Yesterday I had a review with my boss at work, mainly just to ask how I had been these last twelve months and looking ahead to the next ones - as I went through what had happened to me, it became apparent how much actually has happened, and how boring my life is now starting to become (in a good way!) It was Herceptin jab no 14 last week and I almost forgot I had it, and whilst sat in the chemo waiting room, for the properly first time I could see an end in sight. I have also added up the number...
So it's been almost a month since I last posted! In that time I've seen my consultant, and had the Mirena IUD fitted.
I saw her last week (15/08) and was able to ask all my questions and had them answered.
I have Complex Hyperplasia without Atypia. There's only a 5% chance of it turning cancerous, and fingers crossed is reversible with the Mirena IUD. So I had that fitted last week. I have to say I found it very painful and screamed out with tears streaming down my face!! It was over...
This was so helpful and I got a whole 3/4 hour with my Consultant.
He looked at my eye through the special apparatus. What do they call that thin tall thing they look through with a light? Said he couldn't see any signs of anything concerning after the biopsy. The missing eyelashes mark the spot. He wrote quite a lot of notes.
Reassured me that the operation won't increase my eye pressure, which I noted the optician had found was borderline high.

Hi my name is Mike i have just been diagnosed with cancer under the base of my tongue, I first noticed a lump in my neck and went to doctors straight away, the nhs have been amazing. I am waiting to find out what treatment I will have, has anyone else had this?
I think this is amazing that I will be able to chat with people who are survivors!
