Constipated Chicken Walk...

Less than one minute read time.

I came up with the Constipated Chicken Walk when I was on the Tax part of Chemo, when my legs were so stiff and painful that I couldn't walk properly. Little did I know that it was something that was going to plague me for...........well I suppose now it's for the rest of my life!!! Seriously what did I do to deserve this! Losing the ability to get up in the morning and just walk to the bathroom, without moaning and groaning! Seriously if this is someone 'up there's' idea of a joke.......well it ain't funny! Do you see me laughing, I don't think so!! Do I lay eggs? I don't think so, so why the hell do I want to walk like a chicken!!

This morning my hands/fingers are as stiff as they could be! Joints really don't like the cold weather, but what have I got to moan about, it's not like winter goes on for too long........what's 3 months of pain between friends!! 3 MONTHS!! It's going to be a LONG LONG LONG few months!

Hi London Lass. Look at it this way, better to walk like a chicken than be in a KFC style box. !
I'm half way through my Chemo, (Stage 4 bowel cancer which has taken up residence in my lungs), 5th session coming up this Friday, only 3 left after that. So far its been a breeze, but we havnt had too many really cold days yet, and those are the ones that get me. I'm sitting hear looking out of my window at grey sky's. I've got 2 lawns to cut, a toilet to re-fit, and something else to do that I really cant remember. Unfortunately, all my motivation has gone and done one, so cant see anything getting done today (yet again) lol.
I get the stiffness in my fingers (and as of my last session, in my feet too) for about a week/week n a half. Hopefully it wont be permanent, but it may be, along with Nettle-pickers hand (my biggest pain!). My last session is January 12th, I'l have 3 weeks from then till I'm finished, which puts us into Feb; when were only 4 weeks away from spring. Yey.....
Hope your legs ease soon, but if they dont go back to your Oncologist, there are meds and ops that may help.
And dont forget, Winter will come, and Winter will go, and theres a wonderful wet spring to look forwards to.
    :D

  • The first time I read this description (a while ago) I was rolling around on the floor! You have the ability to create phrases that describe things so perfectly we wonder why we ever called it anything else. Keep them coming!!
