Before i know it i will be going through a mastectomy in the next  two weeks, i want the slice and dice to be over, i want the chemo now! I want to cry, shout scream and ask the question we probably all do initially WHY.

Donated a ships bell to the unit, an end of chemo bell to be rang after last chemo, they were really pleased, got the idea from a ladies blog from America there was a bell which she heard ringing and she eventually asked and found it she would soon be able to ring it, think its a really positive thing and hey if its good enough in USA its good enough here! Love to all you lovely people Pauline xxx

Mom's seems a bit down to night and she's in a bit of pain, she's just told me that she's worried about her appointment to see the consultant about her results.

God what do you say to that.

I've tried to be positve about it and say the wright words but I'm not sure if I'am.  Deep down I know Ive got the exact same feeling, she must be so scared . What do you say?

    Hello

Hi, I am a newbie here and thought I would join for some support. I was diagnosed with breast cancer last june. After my mastectomy I was told that my cancer had spread to my lungs. I am receiving hormonal treatment for my cancer and so far my lesions on the lung have shrunk by about 50%. I think that its only now I am beginning to realise all the implications.

    Evening chaps

    Just a quick blog.

Just got in from work god its been a long day!!! When I got home my sister and brother in-law was here, they just popped in to see mom was ok.  Mom seems quite up beat to night.

As promised my auntie came to see mom at lunch time  and spent a couple of hours with her, my mom wouldn't admit it but I think she enjoyed having a bit of company while I'm at work. I'm hoping she will do it again tomorrow because I'm on a 12 hour shift.

    Ive spoken to one...

CA125 on the rise - not a surprise!

    Hi all,

I saw my lovely consultant today for my 3 monthly check. My CA125 has risen from 19 (which was right after finishing chemo), to 71. I have been feeling quite well, apart from muscle pain in my legs, a legacy from the Taxol, but was prepared for a rise, such is the nature of this disease.

My consultant was going to request a scan for me at the end of June, whether the CA125 had risen or not. This is because I am on "active surveillance" which I find very reassuring. I am quite...
