Hooray for today ! apparently my FSH is now what is expected of a woman of my age and menopausal state, so there is no need for the ovary suppression or removal. I didn't realise it but I have been quite anxious about it all. Herceptin no 16 tomorrow (27th Sept), Muga scan next week, hopefully all will still be good, and then Herceptin no 17 and 18 to come, and then last proper visit to the oncologist on the 19th December - the end is now in sight!
I won't miss a lot of things about going to...
It's such a luxury being able to do everything again:
Wonderful and for the moment, I'm taking the normality of life much less for granted.
My watery eye worse first thing in morning. Hasn't been evident for much of time.
Having just looked up eye anatomy: my lacrimal gland...
My bed is arriving on Wednesday. It will be strange. I haven't had a bed for years. In fact I'm trying to remember when I last had one. I suffered for many years from depression, anxiety and PTSD which resulted in a very unstable life. On the cheaper end of private accommodation, I had to move often. I never had the money for a bed. I sleep on the floor on a thin memory foam mattress at the moment. I didn't mind because I have a bad back and the floor was better for it than an old secondhand bed...

Turned up at the hospital at 9am for my second chemo session. Unfortunately, my leucocytes were too low so they couldn't do it. I got an injection to help increase them and I have to inject myself Thursday and Friday. Have to go back on Monday so, hopefully, it will be alright then. Feeling quite disappointed. Who'd have thought they'd ever be disappointed about not having a chemo session? How strange life is.
Be Brave. Even if you're not, pretend to be!
I saw the Specialist Nurse.
So, my op is two weeks tomorrow, as far as I know. I have started my deep breathing exercises. Breathe in for three, hold for three, breathe out for six or more, repeat ten times. I have set my phone to go off every hour from 9am to 9pm so I don't forget. The exercises are to improve breathing for the op.
I've decided to totally spring clean do I won't need to worry when I first come out of hospital. My partner is doing the decorating. I've got a bed on order which should arrive In the...
