My bed is arriving on Wednesday. It will be strange. I haven't had a bed for years. In fact I'm trying to remember when I last had one. I suffered for many years from depression, anxiety and PTSD which resulted in a very unstable life. On the cheaper end of private accommodation, I had to move often. I never had the money for a bed. I sleep on the floor on a thin memory foam mattress at the moment. I didn't mind because I have a bad back and the floor was better for it than an old secondhand bed, which was all I'd have been able to afford. Now I'm in secure accommodation and I have the financial security of my pension so I can buy a new bed. I'm getting it on credit, something I never used to have. So, although I have cancer, life is actually better than ever.
