So, my op is two weeks tomorrow, as far as I know. I have started my deep breathing exercises. Breathe in for three, hold for three, breathe out for six or more, repeat ten times. I have set my phone to go off every hour from 9am to 9pm so I don't forget. The exercises are to improve breathing for the op.
I've decided to totally spring clean do I won't need to worry when I first come out of hospital. My partner is doing the decorating. I've got a bed on order which should arrive In the next few days, so bedroom walls first.
I tried out my steam cleaner on the balcony windows and door. Fabulous! Easy to use and no strain. I decided to test it out on the bathroom pipes which were ingrained and so far remained impervious to cleaning. Brilliant! A very useful cleaning tool, especially as I will not be able to do much for a couple of months after the cystectomy. Also saves on time and money, cos it's fast and uses no product.
