    Update 2

2009 ended with a fab trip to Berlin with some lovely friends, and of course my dear husband.  Had a peaceful easy and very enjoyable Christmas with just the four of us and my mum.  My oncology appointment went very well,. Doc said 'I'm amazed your still here"!   A quick prod her and there and then I was told to come back in 6 months.........yippeeee, the longest yet between appointments.

Had to see GP just after Christmas as I have a problem with my left ear, with a build up of pressure...

    My feelings are numb...

Well i've had a lovely x-mas. I stayed over at my Mums house, then went up to my new boyfriends house on Xmas afternoon, and spent the night there.

I've spent every night with him apart from 1 since then, and we've had loads of fun.

But this bloody cancer is always in the back of my mind. I'm back on pain killers, as the pain is becoming unbarable. I've tried not to complain when i'm around people, as I feel i'm bringing them down too.

The swelling over my right clavicle...

    13) Alternative suggestions for .....

    …… stress relief!

We’ve all read about it, all thought about it and now we’re going to deal with it.  Stress.  It’s perfectly natural to be stressed at various points in life and no doubt, in small doses, stress can be quite healthy. In bigger doses most of us would agree that it’s unhealthy. What I want to know is how to relieve stress when it builds up to volcanic levels, any ideas?

I can do the meditation stuff, focus on my breathing and all that but you do...

    Telling my family about Dad

Hello all. I have never done this before, written a blog that is.  I have fancied writing a blog before but never thought it would be about this. I have never had to deal with cancer before either. I feel the need to write things down. I thought about a diary or a journal but then thought it would be too depressing. Too insular. So, I'll type it here and we can share.

The difficulty I have is that I am writing this in the computer room of my parents' house. My adult sister also lives here with...

I am the best bubble catcher in the house, but rubbish at Hannah Montana songs.
But we'll get to that later. As I told my friends in chat last night I was pressed into service at short notice to be responsible for Caitlin and Hannah. Me responsible! the thought, normally that word doesn't get used in the same paragraph as my name. So I managed to drag my weary unrested body from the pit on time and the girls were delivered to me right on the dot at 8.30 as planned. Whatever happened to the son who couldn't be chiselled off the mattress in time for the school bus?...
