    Thanks all for your good wishes. Angela it was the lower rectal region  I dont know if same but quite sure it would've been same surgery. I'm sure they will take biopsy for lab so don't know when i'll know outcome. I'll keep you posted.

    our journey.....day 2 after chemo cycle 1 x

    27th september - a sort of a weird one today....alls still fine...trev doin well, no pain or sickness....and had really good sleep to make up for no kippin in hospital.....so why am i feelin a bit down!!????? really dont know!! maybe the flyin about last week and the emotions of it all are catchin up on me!! really not sure! maybe when i was visitin im up at the hospital we had time for 'us'. i really am not sure. maybe im just low coz me new boyfriend got cancer and everyone tells me he ll def get...

    Hello everyone, I've never blogged before so excuse me if I rant on a bit, I'm going to start from the beginning and hope things don't get too boring, so I will keep it as brief as I possibly can.

    I'm a 42 year old male diagnosed with advanced lung cancer - adenocarcioma.

    Diagnosis at last

    My first ever blog on the net .I am due an appointment tomorrow at the General Hospital Southampton to explore possible treatment for my cancer which is Squamous Cell Cancer I had been told i had Lymphoma but when i spoke to the Macmillan nurse she told me my records showed different Had an oppointment Thursday last week and the Doctor confirmed that was correct  Hope that things work out O.K

    Feeling tearful

    Hi all,  I have to confess I haven't written for a while since my Mum was diagnosed with Non Hodgkinsons two years ago.  We have recently found out she has a second cancer now in her breast so she is going in for surgery on Friday then following up with radiotherapy.  I have to say I am absolutely petrified about the whole thing.  She is incredibly strong but it has also really affected my Dad as all of a sudden there is something in life he has no control over.  I feel really low at the moment as...

    Hi everyone, first time on any forum.Another 4 hours and its time for the dreaded Moviprep, had it twice before so know what to expect .In tomorrow for colonoscopy to find out what lump is on the join of my resection surgery so fingers crossed. Keep your heads up. Jim

    Seconds out round 2..

    Yes folks its time for my second cycle of chemo tomorrow so I better stock up on my supply of magazines and good books for all that sitting around.

    will also try and visit my cousin whos being treated for the dreaded disease in the same hospital as me he is in really bad shape so needs all the support he can get.

    Today went pretty well, probably the best day since she came home from the hospice, she dressed herself, used the bathroom, and ate well, she even said she was hungry at one point, which hasn't happened for a long time. In the evening she showered on her own, although she was very tired afterwards. She had morphine and a nebuliser before she went to bed, and slept pretty well, taking morphine at about 3 and a nebuliser when she woke up at 6.

    I took a step back yesterday, and let her do things...
