    Side Effects?
Hi has anyone else had these side effects from CMF. I have had 2 doses and am due to go back next week for my next cycle. Apart from feeling rough for 5 days afterwards I have felt really good until a couple of days go when I started to feel light headed, and loose my balance occasionally. On top I am getting a wee bit forgetful-my family tease me that it is my age! I have read on another site about this and wandered if anyone else has found this.Julesx

It’s the waiting that I cannot stand
I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer last Wednesday and although it was a huge shock three days later I find that I have come to terms with it and that I just want to get it dealt with. So, here I writing to help me vent my frustrations, I feel like a grumpy old woman! The mammogram and scan showed that not only was there a lump that is cancerous but there is a shadow which needs to be investigated. This calls for a ‘core biopsy’ which at the initial consultation it was suggested that this could...

    Rant rant rant!!!!
I have got a 'friend' whos wife has cronic pain syndrome, with no cure, she often comes out for a drink and is always depressed. I went out the night I was diagnosed and she said 'why are you out you must be in shock!' I have stayed really positive through my diagnosis and carried on as normal making an effort when I go out.He keeps saying to me Lynne wishes she has cancer and then at least she could be treated. He has no idea of what I have been through with my chemo and radiotherapy and the long...

    Stem Cell Harvest & Transplant
At my weekly clinic visit yesterday, my Key Nurse handed me a booklet highlighting the in's and out's of Stem Cell Harvest and Transplant. We have spoken about it before but that seemed so long ago it is in the dim and distant past. The Doctor is happy with my progress and wants to schedule a multi diciplianry care team meeting with me and my family and the team to discuss STH&T. I have to say there are a lot of questions that i would like answering first before I simply say yes to it. I am aware...

    blessed
Hi everyone, I would like to share some very happy news with you all. My youngest daughter 32 told me yesterday she was pregnant. no mean feat since she has been trying for years without any joy. to say she is over the moon would be and understatement . Iam so thrilled watching over the years her siblings getting pregnant her adoring her nieces and nephews when iam sure a little part of her was devastated. words cannot the joy and love in her eyes when she told me. Iam so so pleased and proud of...

    Travel
I'm interested in views on short trips away from safety. I know this has been discussed here and there on-site. My concerns are focused on general views on leaving sanctity rather than practical questions such as insurance, etc. I think it's fair to say that, in social terms, I have always led an unconventional life. I was always a "career woman"; never interested in children or marriage or strictly monogamous relationships. Lovers, never the affiance. This means that by the age of 43, I may...

    Some Thoughts
I am coming to the end of my fourth cycle of CTD treatment. Each cycle lasts for three weeks, starting on a friday and finishing three weeks later on a Thursday when I see my consultant. The treatment is all self medicating and consists of me taking chemotherapy tablets every Friday. followed by a very well regimented and managed regime of dexemethasone (steroid) and Thalidomide. The Thalidomide I take on an evening and have to say at first I was very apprehensive about this drug. (being of a certain...
