Side Effects?

Less than one minute read time.
Hi has anyone else had these side effects from CMF. I have had 2 doses and am due to go back next week for my next cycle. Apart from feeling rough for 5 days afterwards I have felt really good until a couple of days go when I started to feel light headed, and loose my balance occasionally. On top I am getting a wee bit forgetful-my family tease me that it is my age! I have read on another site about this and wandered if anyone else has found this.Julesx

I havent had that type of chemo but I have definately had the forgetfulness that you mention. With the first type of chemo I couldnt even remember a telephone number and I would need to read it out to dial sucessfully. I hope you continue to get through your chemo ok. I havent had the dizzyness - what are your bloods like - are you anaemic? All the best Jools x

Hi Jules - like Jools before me, I haven't had that kind of chemo, though I've certainly had what they call "chemo brain", when all the little grey cells seem to have gone on holiday. Feeling light headed and losing your balance are things you should really mention to your GP, or cancer care nurse at the hospital. Probably nothing at all, but you're still better off telling someone, ok? Kilmarnock? I was born in Kilwinning in 1953. So, from one Braveheart to another; good luck, lots of love         kate xxxxxxx

Thanks for replying Kate-am off to my GP this morning so will be talking to him about the aformentioned. However may also phone ward at Xhouse as the nurses deal with things like this on a daily basis and are probably more expert than he. Love Jules x
