Side affects of treatment.

Less than one minute read time.
Ok I had Chemo every three weeks from the end of August until the end of October, no problems at all, just lost my hair, no big deal, they gave me a lovely blonde wig at the hospital. Chemo worked great, then went on to have Radium, SCLC is a sneeky little devil that can get in the brain, where the Chemo can't go, so of I went and had five treatments to my brain, and guess what, it just go's to show you get away with nothing in this life, I seem to have got every single side affect they said I could.Still I'm alive, knackered, bald, feeling sick most of the time and a burned forehead, but none of that matters, after thirty years of married life, I'm determined not to let him have all the fun, besides which I love him too much to leave him behind. He'd only surf the internet for a Thi bride if left to his own devices, can't be having none of that.lol.

    Hi Lynda,

Ha! Thought you'd got away with it did you? Never mind, all things have their price and you won't feel grotty forever. You want to watch that husband tho, don't let your guard drop or he'll be after the Thai bride for a second wife while you're feeling so grotty. Keep smiling, it makes less wrinkles than crying.

    Best wishes, Shelagh

Sorry to hear that after doing so well with the chemo this second treatment has worked its evil spell on you, and just in time for Christmas.  How long have they reckoned these side-effects will go on?:  Have they given you effective tablets for your sickness, as this makes a huge difference if that is under control.  I have had a wide range, so do press for a change if your present tablets are not hitting the spot.

Love your sense-of-humour - as you say, have to cling on to thwart his mail order tendencies - at least we only surf for jewellery and clothes. xxxxx Penny

He's not very good on the computer, so as long as I'm around to keep him away from my Brother-in-law, I should be safe.Your so rght of course all things have a price, starting to feel a little better the last few days, so with any luck should have a good xmas.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

I think I've pretty much used up the whole range, not convinced that the sickness problem is all side affect, think there might be a bit of a virus problem there as well. Anyway its been a few weeks now, and I've felt slightly better over the last few days,so you never know might end up being able to eat my xmas dinner after all.

Hey its brilliant news to hear you are winning against SCLC, even if the radiotherapy has knocked you for six at the moment.  My Mum is following you about 2 months behind and is hoping to hear some success stories so I will be following your blog closely!  Hope you don't mind !?

I really hope you enjoy your Christmas and New Year - lots of love xx
