    Another day....
I had my oncology appointment yesterday morning and as I had anticipated things have changed a bit!! When I got the results of my recent surgery I was given an idea of what they had decided to do as far as treatment goes and had gone with the impression this would be starting as soon as possible. But you know the docs they never seem to be in too much of a hurry. So anyway my oncologist wants me to have a PET scan to find out exactly what is going on in my liver this should be done within the next...

    Another one done
Alan has had his chemo today another one done ,3 more to go .So soon on a count down fingers crossed. It was a long day left home at 9.30 and got picked up again at 4.30. Had to wait a long time for his chemo to arrive .Started it eventually at 1.40pm .Longest we have ever been . They have cut his GCSF injections as well ,down from 5 to 3 no reason given. So i am hoping this will not delay the end date for us.He only had the very early chemo without injections . Looking forward to the end and a holiday...

    Weekend survived with eleven platelets!
Morning all - well me and my eleven platelets have survived another weekend. Had a good day in Edinburgh out for lunch with my two sons ( One is 31 and the other is 36 - I am only 57 but I started young - looks like I will finish the same way so maybe it's just as well! ) Also that's husband's night shift stint finished for a while - no longer have to worry about him coming in to find corpse as corpse will be lying beside him should I depart suddenly through the night. As some of you may have...

Thoughts from behind the frontline - 2
In my last blog I rambled on for ages about going out and living life while you can as none of us know when our time is up, whether you've been given an idea of an end date or if you're Jo Blogs walking down the street.... Something I've realised on reflection is that I spoke of my dad as a bit of a hero for having the courage to take his own advice and life for his dreams.... BUT something I neglected to mention in my blog is the fact that if you're reading this, then you're all heros in your...
