    A Visit From Friends

Friends came to see me Friday.  True friends.  Friends that call me to see how I am doing.  Is there anything I need?  When can we see you?  Those kind of friends.  And it was wonderful to see them again.  We mostly talked about everything else but cancer which was liberating.  Not talk about cancer!  Imagine that!  I did fill them in as to my health status because they wanted to know and we discussed my treatment plan but that was it.  I almost felt cancer-less.  I almost felt like I did pre-cancer.  Like in...

    discomfort - cant sleep........

Well i have done my first week of radiotherapy, it was absolutely fine. Amazing to think that something you cannot see or feel can do so much work. I just hope it is doing what it should do to me!

Unfortunately, i have managed to get a really bad wee infection. I took a sample with me on Fri and it appears i have too much protein, & white blood cells in my urine, so after i had my r/t treatment i got sent to the clinic and was given some antibacterial tabs to take this weekend. Not sure they...

  • Hi Mummy
    Sorry

    Hi Mummy

Sorry I havnt been able to write to you for a while. I hope you will be happy to know that I have been busy.

I went to Italy, Union Lido with Andrea, Wayne, Rach, the boys, Sarah, James, Lewis, Sam, Kayleigh, Baz and Gerry. 13 people, it was a big group of us. It was a good holiday and we nearly got banned for life thanks to Baz and Lew Lew but we didnt. I was in such a state and really had a go at Baz and walked off and then Andrea and I had a big cuddle and she calmed me down and think...

A Lifetime of Cancer Sept 09

Well it should have been cycle 4 this week but hubby was too under the weather to be treated, so he had a blood transfusion, which took over 9 hrs and eventually was brought home at 11.30pm. We thought it would all be over two weeks ago but this is the second time his chemo has been suspended due to him being too unwell. In all the years he has been being treated for cancer/s this 'new chemo' has to have been the worst in its side effects. Even the stem cell transplant was not as bad as this - chemo...

    No place like home!

Well, I finally found my way in here.  Soooo much is here.  Took me a day to get and register my name and password, but no matter...I am here...phew!

It has been awhile since I have donated my two cents, but clink clink, here goes.

I think overall I am better at breathing and I am finally getting out in the world.  All seems status quo.  I don't feel like I am terminally ill, at least not now, not yet.  Even when I was gasping for air with lungs full of fluid at almost two liters each side I...
