Bert is still fighting, I din't know how but he is. We had a few scares at the weekend where I had to call the kids in several times but he keeps on rallying round.
He is sedated all the time now because the agitation was just getting worse, the fact that he could not remember stuff really upset him. He has to get his lungs suctioned several times a day to get everything off his chest so he can breathe. It sounds like he is drowning in his own secretions it is so hard to watch. They told me...

I went to see the surgeon yesterday the one who saved my life when my bowel burst.
We discussed the reversal of my stoma, he is going to refer me in 2 months when I have gotten over my chemo which ends at the end of March.
I was hoping he would refer me now due to waiting times etc. I want to be put back together again before september when I am due to go to my boyfriends grandaughters wedding in Zante. At this rate I guess I will still have my stoma.
I have gotten used to my friend, but will be...

It is exhausting.

On friday mummy went to sign up for a trial that her new oncologist suggested. He sounds like a very encouraging doctor and I have noticed a more positive attitude in her since she started treatment with him. In there first meeting he did not give a prognosis like the other oncologist and really stressed how different every patients case was; he even cited an example of one of his patients living for ten years after an incurable diagnosis.
I am really happy that she has decided to do the trial and...
Ron's son and family have visited for a few days. One of the disadvantages of living so far away is that they have to fly. Fortunately they can get from Liverpool to Limoges which is only an hour away. Tim seems to get bigger every time we see him. At 6' 8" he towers over his father who is a mere 6' 2". As Ron has lost weight and his hair has thinned as a result of the chemo he seems smaller and older. They share a love of trains , large and model, so it was a treat to see them working together on...
