    Goodbye Dad x

My Dad passed away yesterday evening (04/04/10) He was at home and me and my mum held his hand as he took his last breaths, it was so hard and I still can't quite believe it. I am so glad he managed to come back home from the hospice though. On Friday morn he said he only had 2 days left, he is now at peace. Yesterday was his 17th "birthday", 17yrs since he became a christian so really he is living in eternal life in heaven.
I love my Dad & I will really miss him x

I've never felt like this in my life

I hope you all had the happiest Easter you could whatever your circumstances.

I feel awful all the time and want to cry all the time. this is so not me I never cry, I find myself crying coming down the stairs, I ache all over and I'm so tired you'd think I'd run a marathon, even my eye lids ache.

I don't know if these are side effects to pain meds or just simply it's all a bit to much for me.

I think it must be limbo land not knowing if the beast has taken up residence elsewhere...

Gearing myself up for the hair chop

Hi all, well this week has seen a big improvement in terms of general symptoms.  I am on day 11 now and the indigestion type feelings have settled down a lot.  I had a curry yesterday which was a little hotter than I realised at first it was going to be - but it was too yummy to leave - despite the tingly burny sensations I was getting.  Luckily nothing untoward happened as a result, and today I've felt pretty good.  I'm taking it a day at a time, not being very experienced obviously at this sort...

    Herceptrin

Can anyone give me there experiences of Herceptrin.  Have had 3 sessions of FEC and 2 out of 3 Docetaxol(Taxotere) to which I have not responded very well.  After the third FEC treatment went neutrapenic and being in the middle of the second of Docetaxol my blood pressure has dropped extremely low.  Overall this chemo business has knocked my sideways.  I am now questioning the side effects of Herceptrin and would appreciate feedback on how people have coped

    BACK HOME :)

Mastectomy operation over and drains out and am back home..... so nice to be around your loved ones again.

Op was ok, nothing like I thought it would be.  Am keeping up with my exercises and have quite a lot of movement back in my arm, just my shoulder is still a bit stiff.  No pain at all at any time throughout the op!  Was sooooo surprised.  If arm aches, just take Paracetamol and it sorts it out..

Am back at the hospital on 8 April, when hopefully I will get my results of the lymph nodes biopsy...

    Happy Easter....already!?!

Hello lovelies, its been a while but all has been going very well for me as much as possible but I have been looking in on the site occasionally as always.  I just wanted to wish everyone well and a Happy Easter as well as just a little update on me. And also to everyone experiencing new phases in this illness and needing extra support my thoughts are with you and also to those no longer with us and their families.

All is quiet on the cancer front really, no scans due until May time but I have been...
