    Triple Negative Breast cancer

Is there anybody out there who has been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer.  This is my diagnosis and I have seen two oncologists, one for chemo and one for radiotherapy.  The second oncologist thinks I could benefit from Tamoxifin but the first said it wouldn't be of any help to me.  There isn't much known about the best treatment for this condition so it would be helpful if anybody else has this diagnosis and what their treatment options have been.

    Radiotherapy and Aqueous cream

Thanks for all for comments about aqueous cream.  Will now start applying religiously.  (Going upstairs in a minute!)  To Wench53 if you read my first blog about radiotherapy, please do not take any notice.  I am sure I am more of an exception with my anxiety about it.  Most people seem to find it ok and even I am now getting more used to it.  Wish you good luck.

    new to this blog

Hi everyone at Macmillan, My mum was diagnosed with extensive small cell lung cancer at the end of June. I created a blog to try and help me cope with it all ,as at first I thought my feelings were a bit unusual.

However, I really dont think my feelings were that unique so I decided to share in the hope that maybe I could not only help myself through this but also help others going through similar experiences.

All posts will be copied to this blog, but if you want to follow me so far, heres the...

The Widow Vibe, the bottle bank, and the question of dignity ...

I’ll start with a little anecdote to give you a taster of the tiny readjustments I am having to make in my new life as a 'widow.'

It was bottle bank time at Cold Comfort Cottage.

It has been bottle bank time for months.

Like many other jobs that involve muscle, going to the bottle bank used to be one of Jonathan’s jobs.

It was, therefore, as a novice ‘bottle-banker’ that I found myself having to delve, reluctantly, into the dark, spidery spaces where...

    Time together

Today, after the anxiety about my partner's mood last night, I was quite drained, I had difficulty getting to sleep, just lay there praying for a miracle.  He asked me to bring our sons to see him, in case he gets worse.  I arranged for us to meet him in the Day Clinic after hours and it was strange to see it so empty when it is usually packed out.  To be honest, I find it difficult to go with my partner when he had day clinic appointments.  The hardest part is walking in and seeing so many patients...

    WOOOOOW

I cant believe i am writing this but here goes.

On monday we got the results of the mri scan.

Well the news we got, well lets just say it was the best news we could of hoped for and more.

The results showed that the brain tumor has redcued significantly in size. It has come of the spine which is brilliant news. The doctors have said 1 year of chemo, mri's every three months. but it all good at the moment.

    I cant believe it!!!!!!

Its amazing and im in shock
