…..Me, I do and lots of it! I know, you know and lots of other people know that it’s not advisable to take steroids after about 6pm. My chemo appointment yesterday was running a bit late and it was about 5.45pm when my pre-chemo steroids were sent firing through my veins. Oh what a night! It was quite obvious that it wasn’t going to be an early one, steroids make me a bit hyper. I leave the chemo suite ready to dance around the car park … the reason why Mr Bad Fairy won’t let...

Suffering a bit with frustration today. There's the stuff you know, and the stuff you don't know. It's now eight weeks since I had my melanoma removed at the biopsy and six weeks since the result - it was 1.5 mil thick. The doctor who gave me the news stressed how urgently I had to get to see the dermatologists / oncolgists at Jimmy's. Hurry, hurry ... got there, but now it'sbeen three weeks of lolling about, with another two before the pencilled date for the WLE / SLNB.
I have...
ok, so i've finished all the treatment stuff, now wait ng for scans etc, but how long till the side effects of the chemo and radio wear off. i know i have good days and not so good days (there seems to be quite a lot of those). i feel sick and my joints ache and i sometimes need to sleep in the day. i haven't managed another ride on my motorbike yet. is this all normal am i being impatient? i spose i naively thought that once the treatment finished i would be back to my old self, but i guess that...
…. Bertie scoffed my cake last night. It was a delicious cake, or at least the bits I’d eaten were. A spiced Dorset apple cake (or a Dorset spiced apple cake maybe?) made by my lovely, slightly loopy, terribly gorgeous (please note any single, handsome gentlemen that may be reading), friend Pippa. Bertie is confined to the dog naughty corner for the next week and I’ve ordered some padlocks for the kitchen cupboards!
Im sure you all don't need reminding about the story of Pandora's box.
The most important bit I think is right at the end.
She has opened the box and let out, old age, disease, war, death, then she shut the box.
A little voice asking to be let out, this was the voice of hope, hope said, you have to let me out, the world isn't complete without me.
Ive always loved this story and as a child Im sure my mum would tell you that I used to make up a dance to the story in our back garden.
It seems...

Well, today is a sad sad day, and I dont know where to go or what to do, so thought I would try and blog it out. Trouble is I dont even know what to say. I have lost a truly wonderful friend, who I really really cared about. Strange how people on here can mean so much to you even though you never actually meet. The thing is out of everyone on here, although I love you all to absolute pieces, I think my beautiful Kath was someone who could kind of really understand some of the issues we were facing...
