I have just 3 RT sessions to go! My skin has coped very well and I have been using the R1 and R2 creams religiously! I have used double the sachets of moisturiser and although it itches a little, I am not sore and there is hardly a difference in colour to the skin, apart from my underarm, which is very dark. I have felt very well throughout and hardly tired at all. The Herceptin injections seem to be not going so well, as both times, i have been sick on the way home and again around 40 hours later...

It’s now just short of a month ago that I had nanonife surgery to my prostrate. It feels like it was a year ago already. Two weeks after the op I travelled to London to have my post op MRI scan and today I got an email with results.

Chemo finished on 7th March. After almost 6 months of planned treatment, I've been feeling a bit like I'm in limbo. Had an abdominal ultrasound this morning. The oncologist seemed a bit concerned that the lower part of my liver was a bit rough rather than being smoother like the top part. Spent pretty much the whole morning of 23 March at Hamad Hospital (National Centre for Cancer Care and Research) having MRI scans of head, face and neck. Unfortunately, 10 days later was still none the wiser about results. Spoke to coordinator who said that all seemed fine...but that there was reference to sub-centimeter lymph nodes. My mum was diagnosed with stomach cancer , on the 1st of December , so it was a shock and Christmas was planned for her and my dad to come to our house in Liverpool ( as mum and dad moved to wales in the feb ) but now plan as changed as she is having stomach removed on 18 th December , I went of work on 27 th on the sick used all my holidays up to that point . I am 41 and suffered back pain, severely heavy periods and urine problems for over two years. I eventually saw a gp who took me seriously and organised a variety of tests. It was discovered that I was suffering from a bowel and bladder prolapse. I was referred to a gynaecologist and initially had a scan that also showed a polyp and fibroid. On March 15th I had a hysteroscopy, d and c and removal of polyp and fibroid and Mirena insertion under general anaesthetic.

Well, not updated lately so thought I would put down how I’m feeling this time round.
Saw Oncologist on Monday 19/3 and mentioned all side effects including tiredness, steroids not seem to have kicked in as well as usual, no sleep, very emotional and the weariness seemed to go on forever. She wasn’t too bothered until I mentioned I had a sore mouth and tongue for a few days (now gone) which felt like the after effects of going to the dentist. Didn’t think much about it until I told Onco and...
I had hoped/ thought work would be a positive distraction, unfortunately it feels like a constant battle.
5 months on, still no chair! I understand they are expensive (a manager told me so) if a high street bank which made a very healthy profit can't afford it, then in the interest of my health then I will gladly pay for it.
My job role has been changed without consultation and without training, the new tasks I'm expected to perform are really not suitable for my health at this...
