Spent pretty much the whole morning of 23 March at Hamad Hospital (National Centre for Cancer Care and Research) having MRI scans of head, face and neck. Unfortunately, 10 days later was still none the wiser about results. Spoke to coordinator who said that all seemed fine...but that there was reference to sub-centimeter lymph nodes. She tells me that she is fixing up an appointment with the surgeon as a "follow-up"...but when I chase this up after a couple of days of radio silence it turns out that he is on leave overseas. Quality.
That said, I have managed to get hold of a copy of teh MRI report and the good news is that there is no nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal, hypopharyngeal or laryngeal mass. Brain normal (at least they found it...)
Finally, I now have confirmation that I am seeing his colleague, the main man who carried out my first surgery (a thoroughly top chap actually) on Wednesday 4 April. So fingers crossed that the lymph node issue is nothing of any significance.
