    1st Chemo Session over
Well even my Dad said it wasnt as bad as he thought it would be, despite a fair bit of waiting around the actual chemo process took about an hour, which pleased Dad immensely. Dad being Dad of course wanted to get down to his local for a pint afterwards, guess that'll never change. We spent some of the wait in the Macmillan centre at the hospital which was much more relaxing and less clinical than the chemo waiting room. Such lovely people there too. Can't help wondering what the next few days...

    Dad starts chemo on Monday
Well after 6 weeks of uncertainty and anguish, Dad will finally start chemo on Monday. He is relieved that something is at last moving forward in a positive way. He had a CT scan yesterday so that they have a starting point, he will do 3 cycles of therapy (chemo once a week for 3 weeks then one week off) and they will scan again to see where we are at. I have noticed that he is feeling pain more now, which as I am sure you will understand, worries the hell out of me. Anyway thinking positive...

    Anyone tried acupuncture?
I have been trying acupuncture to help with the nausea and sickness after chemo and i'm wondering if anyone else has tried it too? I was a bit scepticle about trying it,( but have on recommendation from someone else who had succuss with it). I tried it and much to my surprise have had no sickness since. I go for my 4/6 chemo next week and I even have my appetite back!... so I'll keep it up at least until I finish chemo..(just in case it is working!!) lots of luv...Carolyn :)

    First Chemo over
Well, i had my first chemo just over 3 weeks ago, and i thought it went quite well, not too many side effects, achy joints and a bit tired but all in all not as bad as i'd expected. I've been coping quite well emotionally, the cancer had been removed in surgery and the chemo was supposed to be just in case there were any nasty cells left unseen, and so i always thought myself as had cancer, not have cancer. Just before my first chemo i had a ct scan, just for a base line to compare any future...
