A double blow :( so so so so heartbroken
Well .... Don't know where to really start, I've been bottling up my emotions for so so long as I haven't been brave enough to begin to write this, not really sure I am at the moment! Here goes .... Around October time I join this site and wrote my very first blog and it was such a relief to get my thoughts out there and to hear such lovely warm thoughts from others and to know that its not just you going through this heartache but others as well. I wrote how sad and upset about the difficult time...

    Look Good Feel Better
Hi, I just wanted to share my experience of the "look good feel better" charity for those that have not heard of it. Following a really depressing weekend where my hair started to fall out and the decision to shave the remaining hair off, I received a phone call from the cancer support desk at my hospital to ask if I wanted to change the date of my "look good feel better" session originally booked for 10th March to today, so I jumped at the chance. However, I was a bit nervous as it would be...

    She's gone :(
Well my fear's came true yet again. I was so scared when Mum went into the hospice last Friday that she wouldn't come home again, I was right. We got a call at 6.30am this morning saying we should go as her breathing had become very laboured. She passed away at 10.30am. This has been so quick and I think to a degree I am in a little bit of shock. Can't get my head around her being gone. Am missing her so much already and just don't how to get through this. Anyway once again the tears are...

    SWEEP
My profile picture is of my ex worker Border Collie 'Sweep' age 11 He has now retired as we sold all the sheep four years ago. I do miss the sheep especially at lambing time - I was frequently found with my hand up a sheep's back end ! I enjoy walking Sweep and he has grown into quite a little character not the vicious sterotype working dog. He was never very good at working - used to get half way up the hill look at me and scratch his head as if to say 'What do you want me to do? and promptly come...

    update
Saw my Consultant yesterday 10 days after surgery. He said that they removed seven nodes four of which had the disease. They found nothing in my breast - I have been told that this is called Occult Breast cancer. I hope and pray they have removed all of it. I have now been referred back to my Oncologist for hormone therapy. My consultant did mention the Oncologist may decide to give me more chemo, and then said though this is unlikely - God I hope not !

    A MASSIVE THANK YOU
I just wanted to pay tribute to you all - when i was dx last May and my oncologist suggested this site you all became a lifeline. Getting through 6 months of chemo was shared with everyone else going through this dreadful phase. When i was terrified of going into hospital last november for the surgery you all rallied round with reassurance that it wasnt so bad, it wasnt. The unknown last bit of radio therapy many said it was a doddle in comparison - it was. When i wanted to ask the most intimate...

    Hospice
My mum was taken into the hospice today. The Macmillan Nurse suggested this as a way of getting her pain under control which has increased more and more just this week and she has really deteriorated in just the last few days. Her morphone was increased and she was also put on liquid morphine too and since then has been hallucinating and really not been with us at all. The hospice seems like a lovely place and the people/nurses are great but so didn't want to leave her there. This might sound...
