    Chernobyl: My Fall-Out
I have now accepted my terminal diagnosis and am able to have a pretty good life at the moment; unlike many of you I have no debilitating side-effects, a fact for which I'm grateful. I do think 43 is rather young, but chemo suite experience has made me realise that I am fortunate in comparison to these poor young girls aged 30 and under: at least I've had my opportunities and life lessons and adventures. My problem is a nagging doubt about the cause of my cancer. I have blogged about this before...

What can I say, I woke up crying, set my sister off crying, went to visit mum at the cemetry and cried and spent the rest of the day in a pretty awful mood.. it'll be 3 months this friday I wish i could say its getting easier but it really hasn't.. Am I supposed to learn something from all of this? ahhhhh! thanks for listening...

Am going to see eye specialist on 11th Sept
I had melanoma removed from left side of back almost 6 years ago. I had 3 operations in 5 months, cancer went through to my lymph nodes so I have also had all lymph nodes under my left arm removed. Have had 2 smaller melanomas removed from underside of left arm and left foot as well. Last year I found out that I have a mole at the back of my left eye. When I went to optometrist a month ago she said mole has increased in size, she has referred me to an eye specialist. Am bit scared as I do not know...

    Does this site help
I was diagnosed with cancer 12 years ago I also have that heart disease where the usual symptom is that you drop dead. (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) After 2 years experimenting snaring the tumours and burning the area they were in with argon lasers had my stomach taken out 10 years ago. Mistakes happened during the operation and I have been left in a lot of pain. No one expected me to live for long after. In fact I stopped going to the hospital after being told that “If the cancer comes back or your...

Its just a short one tonight and nothing too emotionally taxing either as I dont want you all to think I am an absolute wreck!! Feelings and emotions
Have had a fairly ok day today. Took my kids out for the day with some other mums from school. Have been feeling guilty though that I have had a good day and that i've been able to talk about Dad without breaking up. I still feel that I should be crying all day. After all its only been 5 days since my darling Dad died. Its really strange but I looked at a photo of Dad today and I thought I would feel so much pain, but I did'nt, its only as im writing this now that the tears have started. Is that it...

Housework or cuddles? I know which I prefer.
Had another day of wanting to spring clean today. This plan was shattered when my eldest daughter and the grandchildren arrived bearing gifts. (Had brought lunch) I won't pretend that I didn't prefer playing with and cuddling them to doing housework, but feel I need to get my act together soon to have everything sorted before I go away for the weekend prior to surgery. Had a bit of a siesta this afternoon, as not sleeping at night so in the day I am exhausted. Now I have finished work for the foreseeable...
