    March 2010

Well, here we are again......STILL HERE and loving life.

March has been semi quiet with the weather dull and very VERY wet. Had a few good nights out with friends.

Still not finished my web site but made myself a promise to get down to it when I get back from China.

All my veg seedings are up.  Far to many again, so plenty to put around to friends and family.

No chocolate for me this Easter because I had to go on a crash diet.  Yes, I know that crash dieting is bad for me but, what the heck.

  • WLE AND SPILT SKIN GRAFT (CONTAINS PHOTOS OF A GRAPHIC NATURE)
    2 WEEKS AFTER SURGERY

    Good afternoon.

Just back from plastic dressings clinic. 2 and a half hours the appointment took.

    1. the wound was undressed. it was half full of brown fluid exudate crap stuff. The graft has pretty much come away at the top 3rd or more of the wound. It was all cleaned and dried up. More sluff removed and a random stitch removed. (anyone hear me scream?) The wound was then lined with BiataneAG, packed with gauze, then surgipad  and then toe-to-knee  bandaging. This was done with Actico short stretch...

    Do you believe in God?

Just wondering how many of you do?? God?? Heaven?? Angels???
I have always kind of believed....my children have all been christened.....they now all attend a church school and i go to all the services with them ie harvest, easter, xmas etc.
Now the problem i have is if God exists why does he allow bad things to happen to such good people?
Why take my mom from me when i was 2?
Why allow my dad to be poorly now so he can take him too?

Why allow all of the lovely people on here to be ill?
    If it is all real...

  • My Story so far.
    My Story So Far
In October 2009, and after numerous tests etc, I was diagnosed with Cancer, a malignant tumour in my left Submandibular Gland. On 15 November 2009 I had a radical neck surgery to remove the tumour. I also had all the Lymph Nodes removed along with several muscles and nerves from my left neck throat and shoulder area. The Plastic Surgeon reconstructed my neck taking a flap and skin grafts from my right thigh. Surgery lasted 13 hours followed by a 2-day stay in Intensive care. All went ok at first...

    Gaming on PC

Considering I had a fit, is it safe to re-enter the world of shooters on the PC? I have been a little scared to try it up, but have recentenly load a few games back onto my PC in anticipation, but have not plucked up courage to try. I'm talking serious shooter stuff, any one else out there using gameing to escape?

There's still a vibe in that old soup ...

Have you been holding your collective breaths?   Luckily, we have some spare oxygen at Cold Comfort Cottage if you feel in need of a blast.
There have been, you will be delighted to hear, no recent medical dramas to report and we have been tentatively trying out the idea of ‘living-life-because-this-is-as-normal-as-it-gets.’
The dreaded cluster headaches are on the wane and Our Hero seems better than he has for months.  As you would expect from such a one, he is now becoming a...

    Very Surprised.

Hi all, well I can't begin to tell you how cross I am. I was expecting a McMillam nurse to visit me this afternoon at 2pm with regard to my pain management, an appt made last Thursday after being passed on from pain management nurse at Oncology unit.

I rang the number I have and got voicemail at 3-15pm and left a message asking if there is a problem please could someone let me know. I fully understand that there may have been a real problem with an earlier appt that could have resulted in problems...
