I have just found out yesterday that my dad (aged 53) has Adenocarcinoma stage 3 lung cancer. It started off in his right lung and has spread to his left lung. He is awaiting radiotherapy and chemotherapy and had hodkinsons disease when he was 16. I was just wandering if anyone has been through a similar experience?
Had a most delightful text message from Sascha today - her daughter (she is a pupil at the school I used to work in where Sascha still works) has had a collection for me at the school!! And they want to know what I would like!! How sweet is that?! I was too gobsmacked and goosebumpy to think about what might be nice ... Sascha asked if I'd like a tattoo, but I don't know if I am brave enough these days ... I have 4, and have pondered on another ... hmmm. It's either a tattoo or a nice...
Errr hmmmm well, you see.. it was like this.... well it wasn't really my fault, I mean.... well... errrrr well, there were these strong pants and... well, shuffling of feet, staring at the floor....
Oh sod it.. here goes. starts out ok...
Little My has her invincible strong pants on. Her bag has been empty all day... this is a litte disconcerting as maybe the strong pants are a bit too strong and things are backing up...hmmm ... could be messy! I would stand well back tomorrow if I was you.....
Unfortunately had a couple more issues with Keren the respite carer again today. I'm not usually one to complain but sometimes 'things' have to be said. As I had mentioned earlier she had already turned up 10 minutes later than she was supposed to,then she had the audacity to ring me while I was out with my mum.Keren had rung me to ask me if I was on my way back as she had to go??. This was at 1.33,three minutes after 1.30, the time she would of normally left had she turned up on time in the first...
Another respite carer came in today for three hours,Keren was her name but it didn't start off too well today. Keren turned up this morning at 10.40-10.45 she was supposed to start at 10.30. Turning up with no apology and later than expected,whether it was only 10 mins or longer is not a very good way to start an introduction! I had only just got off the phone to the office asking them where my carer was and if someone was definitely coming. I has a BRIEF chat with her as it was 'my time',and filled...
I had my last chemo on thursday. It went well, they finally gave me Emend. I forgot to take my steriods yesterday. Today is Saturday and my face has gone red, I feel very hot but my temp is not high.
My face is def swollen. I have taken all my pills today and I am still feeling very nauseas and sick.
