I did get told off tho because I had cottonwool mouth and ulcers for about a week, which didn't stop me eating or drinking, but apparently I should have called the hospital to get some special mouth wash, if they hadn't gone think he would have put my chemo off for a week!!!! Once upon a long time ago a young girl lost her Mom to cancer, this young girl grew up to be my wife. She still misses her Mom. A while later my Dad contracted Colon cancer, it was at this stage of my life that I was unable to help because financially we were coming off a real bad trip. My Dad was helped by strangers who built a home for indigent and poor folk. His final days were made comfortable in a Hospice. The tough part was accommodation when he had to travel 140 km a day for treatment. I saw...

On April 19 2010 I was diagnosed with Melanoma secondaries, 10 years after a malignant melanoma was removed from my shoulder. When my wife and I were hearing the news my body went into a complete shock state, with the muscles on my back seizing up with unbelievable agony.
We were expecting chemo and radio therapies but have been informed that they are really not effective on secondaries in the bone, lungs and liver. We are now putting all our hopes on the very latest drugs trials from Rosch, Scancell...

Anyway, rang the sec, lovely Sarah and the result was......342. What!.....deep breaths lizzie, relax. I promised myself I would not get het up over these numbers, So I thanked her and then calmly...

I am really struggling here, my dad (I am his only child) is in the final few months, probably weeks. He is at home at my house I have two teenage children and a husband.
My dad is always rude and snappy and wants to know why I am not doing things quick enough for him. He doesn't want to go to a hospice and I don't want him to either but I am scared about losing everything including my mind and then I feel selfish because of the position he is in.
Is it right to be angry at him? It is...
The loss of my beloved fiance in recent weeks has been the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with. Since he passed however, I have experienced a number of things, which some might put down to pure coincidence, but seem to me, to be signs from him that he is still around. Am I clinging on to mere coincidences after the devastation of losing my dear fiance or is he really still with me - as he promised he would be? I would love to hear from other members about any experiences they may have had or just what...
