A WEEK OF PRONTOSAN SOAKS AND DRESSINGS AT HOME AND A VISIT TO THE CHIRODPODIST

1 minute read time.

Hi,,,,, sorry i forget to say in the title there are graphic pics too...

so a week of DIY dressings and prontosan soaks at home. plenty of dressings and painkillers and soon to be all free thanks to the gift of free prescription. now i can get the bp and cholestoral meds free too... how the cost builds up!

the photos below catalogue a few days of dressings... the heal is looking much better now thanks to a podiatrist who was great and knew her stuff about lymphoedema etc. i will see her every 3 months or when ever i need to.

top 3rd of the wound very painful this week. not sure why but i am at the plastic dressing clinic tomorrow for my usual torture session (only kidding lisa youre the best!)

looking for move in a few months time nearer to where i work...i think i need a smaller flat and less travelling... who knows i might save some money in the process!

enjoy the pics...

and to all those who seem to have adopted me as a son... when can i come home for dinner?

have a good evening

Morning Peter, I must say, I think the diy job looks great! and there's no mention of any lympo. playing you up - hope its because you are finally resting as much as poss. boring I know but necessary.  Glad you're finally getting free prescriptions - we all need a degree in 'know your rights' in order to get what we are entitled to.  Maybe pain in your wound is pain of healing - i.e. all the bits and pieces trying to get together again and find each other?  Hope so, if not, you know yourself and whether you need to take action.  Take care, Ann

this week has been a lot more painful especially the top 1/4 of the wound. haven put on amotryptoline (excuse spelling) to help with the nerve pain.

    anyone any other suggestions?

i am dressing the wound with aquacell then gauze, then surgipad and thin tubigrip. dressing clinic touch it with silver nitrate and i am still doing prontosan soaks. anyone doing anything miraculously better?

    thanks
