Hey all , I’m new to this and never posted b4 .
in August I had a gynae appt for Postcoital bleeding , the gynaecologist was extremely worried about a shadow he found in my womb and left 3 times to get further advise and no one came in , my lining of the womb was measured at 26mm so he decided to do a biopsy of it as no one would come and advise him further . He told me I’d be asked to come back in3 mths3 weeks later I got the call to come back in. In this appt he never rescanned me told me to go in meds which made me bleed a lot ! Came of them . He told me I might need a hysterectomy and told me they would see me soon.
went to dr who told me then I was getting discharged as aspiration biopsy was fine ! No mention of shadow or what was causing the bleeding so dr told me to phone back
was given another appt and when I went to it she was clear she wasn’t gonna scam me again as no need the shadow was most likely a fibroid and most women my age (39) get them and have heavy periods! This is when I got annoyed so they not read notes ! I wasn’t up for heavy periods! Told her this and explained I don’t have a relationship with my husband anymore as the bleeding after is so heavy! She soon changed her tune and got me scanned again ASAP and booked the hysteroscopy . It’s tomorrow and I’m worried sick !
has anyone had an aspiration biopsy that was ok to have a hysteroscopy that wasn’t ?
sorry this is so long winded x
Hello...good to meet you but I’m sorry you find yourself here. Thank you for sharing what you’ve been going through . This forum is a great pkace to share...we’ve all had some experience unfortunately and are here for each other.
It sounds like you have had lots of ups, downs and mixed messages...that’s emotionally draining in itself so please be kind to yourself as much as you can. My case was really different to yours but I wanted to reply because I have had a hysteroscopy. I had it under general and was home the same day. I had some very mild cramping afterwards and a little bleeding (light). It wasn’t distressing at all and actually I felt better that at least it was bring done. Do you have a letter telling you what to expect? Are you under a general anaesthetic for it? Xx
