Testicular cancer twice

Hi

I’ve just joined the forum.

I had a testicular cancer 10 years ago and then again at the start of this year. I’ve started on the Testy Gel and I’ve been taking that since February. I noticed after about a month that it would make my face red each day (late afternoon/evening). So I went down to 4 pumps a day and occasionally 3 and half. Most of the time (around 70%) I feel pretty good, but occasionally I get very low and feel depressed/tearful. I’ve also noticed that I feel a lot more tired than usual. Also, I feel like a little more of my hair comes out in the shower than normal. I just wondered if this was typical of the behaviour that some people who’ve been through similar may have experienced early on. It’s hard not to get paranoid and low sometimes thinking/worrying about things.

Thank you!

Rob

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community although I'm very sorry that you've had to find us.

I can't answer your question as to whether the symptoms you're feeling are normal or not but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet.

I typed 'Testy Gel' into the search bar in this group but couldn't find any previous posts mentioning it to link you to unfortunately.

You could post your question in the ask a nurse section of the community and one of the specialist nurses will aim to respond within 2 working days.

When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

I hope you get these symptoms under control very soon.
