Yes, quite a jump, when was the lower psa done?

Hopefully they will do another psa soon just in case it was an error.

There can be others reasons for a high psa , ie infections, 

Hopefully will be something like that.

Hi Steve the previous one was done a month earlier, it was 3.6. But previous to that it was 00.3. I have had a urine infection, but the doc, prescribed me an antibiotic, so I knew it would effect the reading.. But it just shocked me to learn it had gone up that much.

Just to add something,. Prostatitis which is possibly what u had can cause psa to shoot up............ apparently, so maybe still getting a backlash, I have read that infections in that area can be difficult to get rid of.
