Hi everyone

I promised to let the caring people who had read my last post were I was up to when I found out my results.

Here's a brief recap

I was 60 and diagnosed in Sept 2020 and went on Hormone therapy  straight away

My diagnoses was T3b N1 M0 high) risk and aggresive

Gleason 4+5=9 treatable not curable

2021 I had chemotherpy followed by a rest and then Radiotherapy

after the  treatment my psa remained  at 0.1 undetectable  until February 2025

So here goes...

In February psa went to 0.07, and throughout 2025 began to rise as the year went on-

0.23  0.28. 0.44. 0.53 and in 2026. 0.69 in February and March 2026  1.2

I had gone through two years hormone therapy  from 2020 and in 2021 chemotherapy followed by radiation treatment.

Over the years my bowels became troublesome and after seeing  a clinical scientist and I was diognosed by colorectal with radiation proctitis

After a recent scan my bladder shows scaring and I have to go back in a couple of weeks.

In the new year I had a psma pet scan/ct and it hadfound movement in my abdomin and neck

( I understand a spread to the neck is rare )

Today I went to the oncologist to find out my results....

Here goes again...

Turns out I have cancer in my abdomin  also my bones and yes my neck.

I have to return to the oncologist in 2 weeks when I have read a book I was given on Erleada ( apalutamide )

and also talk some more.

I have four week course of Bicalutamide and an injection to take back to clinic called Triptorelin

( this I was told is for life )

Five years has passed since my original diagnosis of  T3b N1 M0

I forgot to ask the consultant if this mastatic rise and spread will be T4 moving forward, the oncologist said the spread was all prostate cancer.

Still getting my head around it all, yet again

It just goes to show don't ignore low numbers and if something doesn't feel right mention it.

No doubt I will be back on fairly soon

Love to you all

  • Hi  very sorry to hear your latest news.  Until now,  you and I were on identical paths.  For me, 2 years ago I got a metastatic spread to my sternum and went on Enzalutamide and had more RT which I think was successful.  Since diagnosis we have both known the likely progression.  I hope you are not in pain and the new drug regime allows you to do what you want to do while you can.

    Best wishes, David

  • Hello

i saw your post yesterday but was out last night so didn't get chance to reply.

Your team at Christies have got your back and are on your case - although it does look like the cancer is on the move - it's still very treatable so stick with it. They have started you on a new treatment - I wish you well with it.

I did say before I went on holiday to Turkey I would meet up to take the dogs for walk and we can chew the fat! So if it's good for you drop me a private message (my message box is open - you don't need a friend request) and we can sort out a mutual time and date.

    Kind regards - Brian.
