Hello everyone. My mum had her debulking surgery today. It took 8 hours and the surgeon said it went well. However she lost 4.5 litres of blood and is being kept asleep overnight so her body can rest. They will bring her round tomorrow and take the breathing tube out. Is there anyone who has had a similar experience and can share how their recovery was after surgery?
We are all so worried about her after such a big operation and we can’t even visit because of Covid.

I'm very sorry to hear that your mum has had to have debulking surgery and that she had to stay in hospital overnight. I haven't had this surgery but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet.
If you type 'debulking' into the search bar at the top of the page, it should bring up previous posts which mention this operation. You could then have a look through those to see if anyone had the experience you're looking for and respond to any where you think the poster could help you further.
