My 20yr old son was diagnosed with stage 4 HCC on 30.12.20 (Hepatocellular Carcinoma with Pancreatic metastasis - this is a tennis ball-sized tumour wrapped around his aorta on 3 sides) He started immunotherapy on New Year's Eve, he's on Atezolizumab and Bevacizumab as the tumours are too large and too difficult to operate on and chemo is not suitable yet either.
He's never smoked or drank, always been a healthy kid, never had any illnesses or diseases that would put him at risk on this cancer, there is no family history of this either.
I am finding it very difficult to find any info online about this type of cancer in someone his age and previously having a completely healthy liver, it all seems to be on people who are much older with cirrhosis, HIV and or Hep B or C. I am also finding it hard to find much info on the success of the immunotherapy drugs he has been put on as these seem to be quite new.
Any help is much welcomed.
