Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with anal cancer Oct 2024. I began treatment on 20th November and completed on 28th Dec 2024. After a radical treatment plan every week day for five and half weeks. My 3 month post treatment scan showed it had completed disappeared but my 6 month post treatment scan in June 2025 showed it was back but in my liver. This time it isn't curable but it is treatable so within the next two weeks. Two types of chemotherapy and immune therapy treatment! I kept very positive the first time even the side effects of treatment for anal was horrendous. I hope this time I can keep my positive vibes going!!

  • Hi Carole1960

i completed my treatment for anal cancer in January. My first scan was clear & I’m waiting for the results of my 6 month scan. I’m so sorry to hear that yours has come back. I hope your next lot of treatment goes well & that it can clear what’s shown up in your liver. Xx

  • Hi

I’m sorry to read that your cancer has recurred-I’ve had a recurrence of cancer myself and know what a blow this is.

I think it would be helpful for this group if you can say which chemos and immunotherapy drugs you will be having, since your cancer is a spread of your anal cancer rather than a primary liver cancer and the drugs may differ in these scenarios. Others may be able to pick up on your post if they’re undergoing the same treatment.

I hope you can keep those positive vibes going-I know it took time for me to get back to positive thinking after my second diagnosis, but I wish you well with your treatment going forward.

    Sarah xx
