Hi I’m Nik, I really just need to vent and speak out as I feel like I’m going mad, I have a previous complex diagnosis in 2012 of unknown primary pelvic node squamous cell, with lymph spread, radical treatment and surgery sorted, then in 2018 an active small growth removed from my behind. Anyway I have neuropathy and fybro so I suffer with fatigue and pain daily, but for 6 months I have been so breathes and sore around my chest , lack of appetite and sweating all the time day and night, I have a swelling in my arm pit like an egg which I think must of been growing slowly, and lasr night I had a pain in my other armpit and felt another one which is really painful to touch, so i went looking and there is a swelling in my collar bone too, I’m at the Docs tomorrow and I am scared, but I want to ask about the possibility it may be Cancer returning, but I feel like I might look like I’m trying to diagnose myself, but I need to know; I have had a few odd blood results this last year too so I’m putting 20 and 20 together and making 1000. Sorry I just need to say it all out loud to people who mad understand the whole fear of reoccurring cancer

  • Sorry for all spelling mistakes my eyesight is terrible x

  • Hi, you’ve done the right thing in getting a doctors appointment, and also have voiced your fears.
it’s hard, this not knowing stage, and nothing I can say will make it that much easier. Perhaps the best bit of advice I can give is to stay away from google, as there are scare stories and bad information on there. You know your body and know when something’s not right. And as I said, you’ve done the right thing.

please do pop back and let us know how it goes....

    hugs xxx

  • A Hi from me  and some great advise from moomy as always.

I had a rare type of NHL first diagnosed in 1999, I was told “Mike this is incurable but treatable but you will never see any remission”

After 17 years of multiple relapses and numerous treatments I was told remission in Sep 2016. So there is so much that can be done if required,

Lets look for you to get clear answers and as moomy said, do come back and tell us how you are getting on,

    Mike (Thehighlander)

  • Hi thanks for answering me, I saw Doc and had bloods, and going for chest X-ray on Monday, I can see a flag up on my patient access for my ESR rate is high and blood count but can’t see the issue, I will just have to see on Mon, I may have lupus as I do have fybromyalgia, and cfs, I’m hoping it’s anything but cancer, all the best to you warrior you sound like you have been through it xx

  • Hey, thanks honey, some dodgy blood results and now have an X-ray on Monday, hoping it’s an infection or another auto immune disease as I collect them since my last cancer diagnosis Hearts
