Hi everyone,
I mentioned possibilities of a group chat ,or meet up maybe even video calling am willing to look at this obviously any meet up would depend on where we all live ! I already have friend status with some of you and have your phone numbers. So if anyone’s interested send me a friend request and for starters will do a whats app chat ,so would need your phone number, obviously send via private message as opposed to on the open forum.
Hope everyone keeping as well as they can in these extenuating circumstances.
Hope I’ve not offended anyone by suggesting this of course it’s not compulsory to join our motley crew !

Hazel this is a wonderful idea and I'd move heaven and earth to get to real life meet-up in the future, I'd love to meet the guys and gals on here face to face.
Sorry though but I'm not comfortable with video/phone stuff; to be honest it's not me personally but my wife, who is disabled and I care for (people already know that) is intensely private to the extent that she won't even talk to the wider, even sometimes close, family when she's in a "bad space".
Me chatting to "strangers" online would really upset her if she heard it; that said she's hugely proud of my "champ" status on here. She's a conundrum; mental health is so hard, literally when I get out of bed in the morning I don't know what kind of person I'm going to meet downstairs. But I know who she is deep down so I can take the bad days.
Best of luck with all you do and really hope to meet you in person one day!
Mike xx.

Hi Mike
WhatsApp is just a group chat tappety tap on the keyboard.
I should think that’s the easiest thing to do. You’re just in a group and you can see everybody’s reply. Yes you can send a video or pictures if you want but there’s no group video conferencing. Or you can ignore posts till another day. It shouldn’t be too difficult in the way you envisage.
it would pave the way for a “reunion” when we are all out of this morass

Beesuit a text only thing I can manage; I'm in a group with wife's brothers that she refuses to engage in. Actually had a phone call with one of them this morning (concerning her aging mum), her favourite bro of all time who she's always loved to bits but she refused to talk to him. It's hard, she was sobbing earlier saying she wanted her dad who died a couple of years back.
I want my mum back too so I can really feel her pain despite rationalising my thoughts a bit better; crazy days.

Hi all
A meet up will give us something to look forward to.
We’ll need name badges to be able to identify those with no photograph on here.
It’ll be like a blind date!!! Xx

Hi Hazel, joined this group a while ago but have never got my head around how to read whole threads or reply to someone or even ask a question. I've just asked my partner and we figured it out, soooooo easy when you know how! I would really like to get chatting more to people in here, it's nice even just to read the threads! I would really be interested in a meeting later in the year if I am well enough. I have my second round of chemo on Thursday, and then two more and radiotherapy for six weeks at the same time. It's just nice to read that I'm not alone x

No, I haven't Hazel. I have had our little girl at home because of schools closing and have been very busy with her! This is one reason why I am dreading chemo on Thursday, I was very poorly for the first eleven days. I shall have a read of your blog and have accepted the friend request, thank you x
Add me too if you like.
