Pointless post but just home after 11 hours in the hospital for my husbands first round of chemo and radiotherapy. He’s only having two lots of chemo but it was long!
Feeling good it’s underway though dreading the next few months x
Yes it’s a long day but there will only be another like it.
Don’t stress too much. A day at a time xx

It's not a pointless post; it's the start of the journey getting him back to good health. Just take things one day at a time, keep his team up to date on how things are for him, they are able to give medication for any side effects he might get, don't let him suffer in silence. We are all here to help you both along the way, the time will pass quickly. Any questions or worries just ask.
Ray.
Yes it is a long day, a journey into the unknown for you, but things will click into place and a routine will be established which should take the edge off, there's no doubt that the treatment and recovery will be difficult but it will not last forever, any questions just ask... post with updates, for support or just to have a wee rant or chat.
