Hi.

Like a lot of people here I've been through the treatment for tonsil cancer and left with some of its side effects but also come out the other end.

If I can do it anyone can as I'm a bit of a wimp I have to admit.  This site and everyone on it helped me through some dark times.

I'm currently 5months post treatment and two checkups with all clear.

Daily I constantly fight with dry mouth and tried most stuff available just waiting to give acupuncture a go.

My real bugbare and feeling quite guilty for being like this is the way my hair has  dealt with the chemotherapy and the radiotherapy.

Its made the hair thin and took away from hairline underneath at back.

Ladies does anyone have any success stories to share as it gets me down sometimes

  • Hi Abrn

the RT left me with hair missing at the nape if the neck. This was quite noticeable but over a year later it’s grown back.
    Hope that is encouraging.

  • Hi Abrn

I too had hair loss at the nape of my neck - it's all grown back.  I also know of others who suffered hair loss that has grown back.

All the best with your continued recovery.
