Morning All,
Just had a stent fitted in my oesophagus.
Strange feeling every so often, feels like cramps in my chest area around oesophagus. Then unpleasant tingling sensation in oesophagus. Is this normal, will my body get used to the stent being there. The good news is that I am now able to eat in moderation.
Kind regards Waldorf
Hi
Having an unpleasant tingling sensation in your oesophagus can't be very pleasant for you. I don't know if this is normal or not after having a stent fitted but wondered if you'd spoken to your CNS.
You could post your question in the ask a nurse section of the online community and one of the specialist nurses will aim to reply within 2 working days.
When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
