Having just been diagnosed with a front local secondary breast brain tumour i am currently awaiting an operation to remove one out of 2 tumours. I have been through cancer 3 times over the last 10 years 2 triple neg breast and thyroid the most recent 2nd breast diagnosis diagnosed Oct 19. Is any one else pending basically life saving life extending surgery having anxiety attacks over the rumours tonight of another full lockdown? Also those that have been through this what have you found in regards to the recovery period as I live independently although have the support of my wonderful friends and family but am worried about the after effects and getting through this under the circumstances we find ourselves in. I have already had to take medical redundancy and am also trying to deal with this on top of everything else Thank you for any replys in advance xxx
Hi
I'm sorry to read that you have recently been diagnosed with a secondary brain tumour and that you are having anxiety attacks over the prospect of the second lockdown that we are about to enter. Whilst feeling anxious is perfectly normal if you're finding that it's impacting on your daily life you might find this information from Macmillan on anxiety helpful.
Although I'm not a member of this group I spotted that your post hadn't had any responses yet. By replying to you it will 'bump' your post back to the top of the discussions page where it'll be easily spotted.
While you're waiting for replies you could post your question about what to expect after surgery in the ask a nurse section of the community and one of the specialist nurses will aim to respond within 2 working days.
Sending a virtual ((hug))
