I’m just wondering what other people’s experience of radiotherapy to the pelvic area has been. My mum was diagnosed with secondary bone cancer about 6 weeks ago. She has a large met in her sacral area and spots on various bits of her skeleton. She had 5 sessions of radiotherapy to the sacral area last week and since then her pain has increased a lot, she now also has neck pain that she didnt have before and since yesterday she has had ongoing diarrhoea. My sister called the nurse at the breast clinic today for advice but they didn’t call back (which is just standard practice it would seem) . Just not sure if we assume this is all normal side effects or if we should seek ooh advice.
