Hi BirdyM,
Thank you for replying to let me know I’m not alone with the feelings of exhaustion. I have my 15th and final session this afternoon. Can’t wait for it to be over, even though I know it takes circa 14 days afterwards to reach the peak. At least there will be no more daily trips to the hospital. Interesting that your hospital has a gym programme, sounds fabulous. I’m pleased to hear it’s helping boost your energy levels too. I was hoping to get start back at the gym this week, but I’m having to be realistic and postpone. It’s positive for me to see you are back three weeks after treatment and so hopefully I’ll get there soon too.
Take care and virtual hugs Mickey xx
Hi MickeyM
So glad to hear you are on your final day. Its around 4 weeks since I finished. Keep plastering the cream on, I've been lucky in having hardly any skin reaction but I still get the occasional stabbing pain.
Sticking with the minimal bra support as restriction is still uncomfortable.
Need to lose weight as I've certain piled on the pounds. I keep saying it's the letrozole but choc and TV regime is probably the main cause although I do feel weary still.
Take care xx
Morning Daiquiri,
Lovely to hear from you. I can’t believe it’s around four weeks already, but it would have to be as you finished just before I started and I’ve now had my last session . I’m really pleased to hear that you’ve had hardly any skin reaction. Have you stopped moisturising now then? My skin is looking mostly like a sun tan, but I do have a rash in my armpit and it looks darker and bruised there. It’s back to that annoying feeling post op when you need the air to get to it and can’t let the skin touch clothes or skin. I’m obviously hoping that that particular area at its peak and won’t get worse over the next two weeks
. I’m certainly going to be braless too for a while yet
.
I’ve also definitely put on weight, my clothes are tighter. I was hoping to get back to the gym this week, it’s delayed though as no way I could wear a sports bra or get sweat on that armpit currently. Interestingly, I’ve been craving chocolate (and given into the craving). I’m not normally sweet toothed at all, apart from the odd past hormonal day. I mentioned it at my RT review last week and she said it wouldn’t be the RT and must be a side effect of the Anastrozole.
Hope you feel less weary soon and take care of you too.
Virtual hugs Mickey xx️
