Hello
I've just been diagnosed with invasive ductal cancer grade 3 triple negative I'm so scared is anyone going through the same?
Fab news your first mammogram ok . Sorry to hear about the joint pain though . I am anxious about the radiotherapy aa worries it will damage my heart as it’s left side . I know not all side effects happen to everyone but it’s all been very hard with the Chemo . One more to go now xxx
That’s sounds amazing. I am going to try to get away in the summer after all this abs try to get some sense of normality xxx
Hi dear, I joined this group earlier today after much reluctance. It’s funny how we found ourselves here really but it is what it is… I was diagnosed with invasive cancer a DCIS in my left breast m. I had a CT-scan this morning and going for MRI tomorrow. I have also been scheduled for Lymph biopsy and mammogram to examine my right breast. The Cancer medical team has announced I will be starting with a chemo before surgery.
however, I am unsure if I know exactly what I’m up for yet cos I seem lost for words. The side effects of chemo are already scaring the hell out of me but I choose to be strong.
also, I am a new employee in my office and wondering how my Manager would receive the news and if I’ll get any financial support in the process.
so many questions! But pls forgive me
Sorry to hear you find yourself here, it’s the group none of us wanted to be a member of. The initial stages are really the worst part of this . Not knowing what the full picture is , not knowing the stage and grade , as this often changes as more is found out . It is quite common to have chemo before surgery . I am not going to sugar coat it , it. can be tough . You will get through it though . Financially the Macmillan help line is fab . Hopefully your employer roll be supportive mine has been fab . We are all here if you need help xxx
Any time I was very grateful forca help when I was at the beginning so it’s good to try to help others x
Hi lyin
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 and had chemo before surgery. Chemo is tough but it is doable. Everybody's chemo journey is different and if you need it you will get plenty of support from the lovely ladies on this thread and on the forum so please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have about your treatment, there is always someone on here to answer them.
Wishing you the best of luck with your treatment.
Best wishes

Hi major delays at the hospital today. But no 8 herceptin done, one left. Radiotherapy planning appointment on 20th June. And my plastic surgeons breast care nurse advised me I have been sent an appointment in the post to discuss my diep surgery. Yayyyy so pleased with that xx
Mine was to left side. Do not worry. You do a funny breathing technique (I forget the name) which means there is no threat to your heart.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
