Hello
I've just been diagnosed with invasive ductal cancer grade 3 triple negative I'm so scared is anyone going through the same?
Don't worry about the radiotherapy. I had it to left breast. You do a special breathing technique which lifts the heart out of the way. www.cancerresearchuk.org/.../heart-problems
Hi
I had 15/15 radio therapy sessions. The key for my fair skin was/is moisturizer x3 a day and exercises as can feel tight if having in armpit. You can feel tired by 4 p.m. I was pooped. I am 10 days post a bit red like prickly heat and itchy so still creaming. I have a couple of places on my back as apparently it is where it comes out.
Unsure which side you are mine was right but because I had it on chest wall I had to do the breath holding but it was ok.
Just so thankful it was much easier than chemo!
Nearly there you will be fine it hopefully will be ok for you too. Good luck end in sight.
Hello all , hope everyone is ok . Had my final chemo session yesterday . Was a very long day as needed magnesium again and neutrophils were low so has to wait for repeat bloods . So pleased to have finished and after 9 long months my Picc line is out . Just the radiotherapy now then time to mend . Xx
Hello Harleybear
I am so glad to hear that you are finished the chemo yaaaaay! You now just need to get your strength and your equilibrium back. I finished chemo about a year ago and herceptin&pertuzumab about three months ago. I am just back from a wee holiday and feel the best that I have felt for a year and a half. I hope that you go from strength to strength now.
Wishing you all the best.

Hi harleybear so pleased to hear your chemo is all done. Well done harleybear. My radiotherapy planning appointment is on the same day as yrs, so I am with you all the way. I have started my hormone meds anastrazole so getting to grips with them at the moment but determined to. Only one more herceptin left, my last heart scan was fine. Get some rest harleybear and we will do radiotherapy. Best wishes everyone xxx
Hello Key82,
Is it any wonder that you're feeling scared; hearing that you have Cancer does that to everyone and I think everyone on this forum will tell you we all felt the same when we were first diagnosed - I know I did.
My cancer was not the same as yours but since joining this forum I've found it helps to ask questions; someone who have had the same type will be able to give you insight on 'dos' 'don'ts' and general advise on what works best but reassured we all be routing for you and will be your 'cheerleaders' through the various stages. all in it together - you won't be alone on your journey.
Have you had your chat with oncologist as yet to discuss the type of treatment they recommend?
Thanks for the recommendation - I'm going to order a copy
