Hello
I've just been diagnosed with invasive ductal cancer grade 3 triple negative I'm so scared is anyone going through the same?
Hi ive just had op after chemo and now looking at radiology and hormone tabs as have had masectomy one side and a tumour on collar bone with lymphadema also all same side but just burning up alltime but getting there hope you get on ok with your treatment also love and hugs xx
Hi Shaz52 Hope all ok with you? Yesterday I finished my Radiotherapy and rang the bell for the end of treatment. Still a few little hurdles to climb but apart from meds no more treatment. Been a long 8 months with surgery, chemo then radio .(Mostly due to lymph node involvement too).
It is a strange feeling, feel a bit numb to be honest but know I have done all I can to beat this.Just got to get my strength back and learn to pace myself.
To all of you still going through treatment keep ticking it off you will get there.
Love to all
Well done for getting to the end what an an achievement . I am close to the end now so hope I get to ring the bell too xxx
Hi Shaz hope you are doing ok ? Where are you with your treatment . I have had a rollercoaster of a few weeks been in and out of hospital , blood transfusions , infections etc etc This chemo has taKen its toll I nearly had it all stopped this week due to my LFT being rubbish my body just not coping . I was devastated, as much as I have had moments when I thought I can’t do this anymore, to have it stopped before the end had me in tears and not sleeping while I waited for results . The idea of not doing all I Could and finishing this was just too much . Anyway got a call at 8 LFT improved enough to go ahead . Can’t tell you how relieved I was . Had chemo today and now one more next week then I have my radiotherapy planning CT on 20th June . The breast surgeon is the. Going to make me an appointment to see plastics to plan ahead for a DIEP reconstruction as can’t live wirh it still . I am also going to talk to the cancer psychologist on 13th which I need now aa reality begins
o leak out
Really hope you are doing ok and you too are near the end . How is everyone else xxxx
Hi Harleybear I am doing fine. Did get a seroma but had it drained once and a course of antibiotics and things are looking better thank goodness. Your radiotherapy ct planning is the same day as mine. I have started my hormone meds. I have contacted my plastic surgeons breast nurse, my plastic surgeon did my first surgery. I have requested to see her regarding a diep surgery. I am seeing my breast consultant Monday and asking if my mammogram can be requested for my 12 month check. Sorry to hear you have been unwell with your chemo it's nearly done now. On Friday I will have number 8 of 9 herceptin. So getting there. I have a headful of hair now, abit slow growing at the front but it's slowly catching up. Looks like we will be doing radiotherapy together. xxx
Hi Harleybear - you've been so quiet, wondered how you were getting on. The radiotherapy will be OK for you. Very different from the troubles you have been going through with chemo and everything. I had physical checks and first (12 month) mammogram - heard nothing still (been weeks) in writing but I phoned BCN who said my mammogram was fine. What a relief ! Have a lot of joint pains from the Letrozole though and hot flushes. Still continuing with it.
Hi Harleybear
Sorry to hear that you've not been well but I'm glad that you were able to have chemo yesterday and that you now have just one more chemo to go.
Best of luck with your last chemo next week and hopefully your chemo yesterday will be kinder to you.
I'm doing good thanks and I'm off on holiday on Saturday for just over two weeks. I'm going away with my parents and my Aunt on my father's side and I'm really looking forward to being away. We are going to France, Switzerland and Italy. We are going to see the opera Carmen in Verona in the arena. Can't wait.
Best wishes
Daisy xxx
