Hi I was diagnosed with Breast cancer grade 2 estrogen positive , Her 2 negative on the 10th December . I had a bad back and mentioned this to my consultant so he sent me for a CT scan before my operation. Unfortunately they found a spot on my liver that needed further investigation as they could not tell what it was . So they then sent me for a MRI scan but again they are saying it’s too small to characterise so now I have to go for a PET scan but my breast nurse said this may not give us a definitive answer and they may not be able to do a biopsy on it as it’s too small so they may go ahead with my surgery on the breast and monitor my liver should they not get an answer from the PET scan .
I am really worried that time is moving on and would love to hear from anyone that has been through a similar experience .
Hi
A warm welcome to the online community, though sorry that you have a need to join us.
I don't have a similar experience to share with you, but wanted to say hi. Hopefully, your PET scan will give you some answers, but it's good that they are going ahead with your breast surgery. Surgery is by far the most important treatment where breast cancer is concerned so having that done will hopefully give you some peace of mind while they get to the bottom of the spot on your liver.
You could try also posting in the Liver cancer forum. Admittedly, you might not find anyone there with breast cancer or the same situation as you, but they might be able to share information about the tests and potential treatments to ease your worry.
I hope you get a resolution to this soon, waiting really is the hardest part of it all and you will feel so much better once your treatment starts.

hi,
sorry I misunderstood. Hopefully it will turn out to be something else, like you say. perhaps someone will come along who has had a similar experience and can help ease your worry.
Sending virtual hugs

Hi,
I had something on my liver following my breast cancer diagnosis, the CT scan showed it to be a hemangioma ( I think I've spelt it correctly) which is a birth mark on the liver, apparently quite common. I do hope whatever yours is, is not anything sinister.
