Hi you lovely lot. I am having some issues with my shoulder following my surgery, it's like a dull ache, a bit like when you have restless legs and it's driving me mad. I am still doing the daily exercises and that's fine, some days it takes this feeling away but not today, has anyone else had this please?
Thanks x
Hi , that is sounding familiar to me. It was 2 years ago so memory not the clearest but the likening to restless legs struck a cord. I was constantly raising my arm in the air and holding it straight up, trying to get comfortable. When sitting, I’d have a cushion under that arm to support it, but I’d frequently feel I had to stretch it up. I’d forgotten but your post has brought it back! I think there are a lot of weird things going on internally after surgery, they’ve had to delve around to get the nodes out and I remember someone else explaining that there would be lots of ‘knitting’ going on inside, hence many weird sensations. The other thing I remember was a burning along the upper side of my arm and shoulder, like a carpet burn. Sometimes stroking it quite firmly seemed to help.
Needless to say, if you are concerned do phone tge breast clinic to speak to one of the nurses. Hope it eases soon, love and hugs, HFxx
Thank you HappyFeet1, it must just be something I need to learn to live with, I am pleased I am not alone, I do sit with a cushion which helps, I will try lifting my arm to see if that helps.
Big hugs back at you xx
