I was wondering if anyone out there had any information on the use of pertuzumab in their treatment plan since the new nice/scottish consortium guidelines came in at the end of 2020? I had just had a 9mm invasive her2pos cancer removed with a dcis spread to 16mm node negative. I am Hormone receptor negative. This is my first post and think Im still in denial about the whole diagnosis and high risk of reoccurance.
Hi Carlo41 and a very warm welcome to the online community
I'm very sorry to read about your recent diagnosis and it's natural to have questions around the treatment that you'll be having.
I don't have any experience with pertuzumab but noticed that your post hadn't had any responses yet. By replying to you it will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussions list and I'm also going to 'tag' this group's Community Champion GRANNY59 as she may be able to help you further.
While you're waiting for replies, if you type 'pertuzumab' into the search bar in the group you'll find lots of previous posts which mention this drug. You could have a read through some of the more recent ones and reply to any of the posters who you think might be able to tell you more.
When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Hi Carlo41
welcome to the group - and, of course, sorry you find yourself here. Like latchbrook, I also don't have any experience of pertuzumab, but I'm pretty sure we have some users who have - hopefully they'll pop along soon now your post has been bumped to the top of the list.
The breast cancer group is a very busy, fast moving place and sometimes posts drop off the page - do please always feel free to bump your own post back up - any reply will put it to the top of the list on the relevant page - people normally just post that they're bumping it. We are a very friendly bunch and will always try to help.
Denial is a pretty common response, I'd say - it's a bit like the grief process - denial, anger, crying etc etc. It's a traumatic thing to go through and whatever you feel is a reasonable response.
Hope someone with some answers shows up soon
R
