Setting this up a bit early....and I will ask Admin to ‘sticky’ it
Beautiful photo, hoping I can embrace no hair, not sure I want the extra time required for cold cap
Wishing you all peace and calm in the storm...with a helping of laughter and joy to bring healing ️
Lovely photo, may I ask, does anyone know if the hospitals supply chemo hats, or advise you were to buy them ?, I’m due to start treatment next Friday and would like to be prepared, thank you x
Out of darkness cometh light
Hello Crawler
i bought my chemo hats online at annabandana.co.uk. Big selection and very reasonable prices. The absolute must have for me is a night cap. I don’t think I could sleep without it. But I wear a hat most of the time indoors for warmth, and put a woolly hat on top when I go out.
There is also a charity called Cancer Hair Care. They are lovely, and offer loads of advice online and on the phone.
Hope this helps,
Judith
I have decided to decline cold capping. If this was a normal year I would have tried it, but I'm not going out anywhere so have decided I'd rather not have the added time and stress. By the time we can start going out and mixing again I'm hoping my hair will be growing back
Thank you, I will look at both of those options, yes I think I will be more comfortable with a night cap to, thank you for answering me x

Cold capping wasn’t an option they were able to offer me. I’m currently on day 9 after my first treatment of FEC & I’m currently anticipating my hair coming out, I’m not sure how I’ll feel when it actually does. I’ve got 2 sleep caps made from bamboo, they have elastic areound the back & are so soft. Has anyone had any issues with their Picc line? I’ve had tohave mine removed as my body was reacting to it, I’m waiting to hear what will happen next before my next treatment on 21st
@Northener When I read this, I was like Wow! that is where I want to go too, lucky you and then I realised what you meant when I read down the post. Iceland is one of the countries I want to go to asap as well as Italy, to practice my Italian x
