Has anyone had acupuncture whilst having chemo and herceptin? My friend does acupuncture, she has her own practice and she has said she will do mine free of charge and it really helps. I don't know much about it, my friend is in spain not back in the country til next week and this message from her has come via her cousin who is my best friend so i cant ask her about it yet and was wondering if anyone else has had it or what their thoughts are.

Thanks in advance lovely ladies xxxx

My friend who had breast cancer last year recommended it to me when I was diagnosed with it this year. I have had 2 sessions of acupuncture so far and it seems to be helping me

Hi would briefly like to add my thoughts on this as am interested  trying this myself since surgery and r/t was a while ago mind but still get niggles and mental health flare ups which I read acupuncture might help about what happened however the CCG no longer supports it (was part of hospitals physio  dept)  but getting back to the question   and   sounds a good idea and hope it works for you  Slight smile      So instead I tried Reiki a few times and it was great after  lumpectomy surgery and the r/t to help quieten down all the stuff that goes on after so that might be something else to try if  you can find an experienced qualified therapist?     I hope this make sense am on autistic  spectrum so high functioning knowledge is there but it gets muddled putting words into order that others can follow!    Best wishes
